Agroforestry
Agroforestry is an integrated production system with several layers including arboreal, shrub, and root with high biodiversity, plant, and animal density.
This productive concept has as its priority the protection of the soil, the increase of fertility, and water retention capacity.
With this demonstrator, we intend to test and disseminate agricultural practices of sustainable intensification through the use of different species for food such as fruits, vegetables, herbs or forage together with forest species in order to promote a balance between food production and soil quality improvement.
