Welcome to DIP4Agri, an immersive online advanced course designed to accelerate business development in those that have an entrepreneurial spirit. The programme fosters deep tech-based entrepreneurship and innovation (E&I) (biotechnology, clean techs, AI & Machine Learning and Robotics) in higher education institutions (HEIs) for a truly circular European economy. Gain the skills and knowledge to drive growth and transformation in the agrifood setor by converting challenges into lucrative business opportunities.

Prepare yourself for a dynamic 60-hour international and multidisciplinary learning experience, every Friday from September 15th to November 10th, and dive into the intersection of deep techs, entrepreneurship, and innovation. This transformative programme is available in English and features a captivating use case competition based on real problems from the agri-food industry, where students will work in teams to develop innovative solutions and compelling business ideas. At the end, the best pitches stand a chance for additional mentoring opportunities and a prize of €5,000.


The programme is delivered by the DIP4agri Consortium, a multidisciplinary team comprising top-tier institutions, such as, Universidade Católica Portuguesa (PT), Aarhus University (DK), Wageningen University (NL), Food4Sustainability (PT), BGI (PT), Castillo de Canena (ES), Planície Verde (PT), Food&Bio Cluster Denmark (DK) and FME (NL).

About the DIP4Agri project


The project will receive funding from the EIT’s HEI Initiative: Innovation Capacity Building for Higher Education. This initiative of the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT) aims to boost the entrepreneurial and innovation capacity of higher education institutions (HEIs) across Europe through the integration of deep tech activities. Under the EIT’s HEI Initiative, the project will receive funding of €350.000, and it will run until December 2023, with the possibility of getting extended for 6 more months. About the EIT HEI Initiative

The EIT’s HEI Initiative is a key objective for the European Institute of Innovation and Technology as part of its new strategy. The initiative aims to support HEIs with expertise and coaching, access to the EIT innovation ecosystem, the largest in Europe, and funding, enabling them to develop innovation action plans complementing the needs of individual HEIs. This is the EIT HEI Initiative’s third call for proposals and its first call with a special focus on deep tech. So far, the initiative has provided funding to over 60 projects. The next call for proposals is expected towards the end of 2023.
